This is a collection of some of my favourite photos of Ilha Quisiva…
09/10/07: Video of Ilha Quisiva from the air
This is a video I shot in the beginning of 2006 while flying around Ilha Quisiva in Northern Mozambique. Although it was shot in the dry season, the video clearly shows the stunning 400m sand spit and the many private coved beaches where our villas will be sited. The Island is 350 hectares and is largely covered in Coastal thicket and fringed with coral cliffs, which form the protected coved beaches for our villa sites.
Well, I thought as I had treated you all to a little info about the diving in the Quirimbas Archipelago. I should up the stakes a little and let you make up your own mind. So I have put a little video together, so why not have a look.
02/10/07: Under the waves around Ilha Quisiva
Diving in this Archipelago really left me stunned, never before had I seen such beautiful coral diversity and marine life. Every single dive I did during my stay I saw something new that I had never seen before in over 1000 dives which included other fabulous locations such as the notorious Maldives just off Sri Lanka.
30/09/07: Kitesurfing in the Quirimbas Archipelago
The Quirimbas Archipelago in Northern Mozambique is without a doubt the perfect kitesurfing holiday destination. What makes it so special? Well, the Quirimbas Archipelago benefits from trade wind conditions all year round and being an island archipelago, offers crystal clear flat water, making it perfect for beginner and advanced kitesurfing. With 27 beautiful islands scattered along a 360km (200NM) stretch of pristine East African coastline, typical wind strengths of 15 to 25 knots, reef breaks on the western side of the Islands and protected waters on the eastern side, the Quirimbas is any kitesurfers dream playground.
